WHAT IS A DEPENDENT VISA?

A dependent visa could be a kind of visa. It permits the dependents of primary applicants to accompany them.

With a dependent visa, the dependents can:

• Stay with the first applicant/family.
• Travel and explore
• Study in an academic institution (in some cases)
• Work (in some cases)

The different types of dependent visas are:

• Temporary visa
• Permanent visa

With a temporary visa, partners or spouses will add a limited capacity (provided it’s valid). But, if you apply for a permanent visa, you’ll become a Permanent resident.
